Your 'pardacanda' is the first one I've seen in flower albeit I was shown one in the nursery
when I first bought the Belamcanda chinensis...the 'blackberry lily'. I tried growing it in the garden but it didn't fare well so I switched over to a pot where I continue to have better luck and I dig them in the fall to spend winter in a coldcellar then back out around late May.
I rather like your brilliant flower better than my mottled type and if I can find one again at the nursery I'll give that one a try.

I have both the spotted form or type of the "Blackberry LIly" and several non-spotted clones - grown from open pollinated, collect seeds of the type plant. These have ranges in color from very pale yellow/orange to bright red/orange w/yellow thumb prints.

It is possible, through selective breeding to develop the solid colors and even somewhat easier when these are crossed with the Parancanda (which is itself an intra-specific hybrid)

The color of the two pictures is so alike!
Are they taken with the same flower?
