Narcissus, common name daffodil are very difficult to id accurately from pics. There are hundreds of different named daffodils.

There are several factors which have to be taken into account. Such as height, shape and size of bloom, time of flowering, compared to other daffs in the same area.
Eg. in Britain Narcissus February Gold, is 12"/ 30cm tall, has reflex perianth ( Division 6 cyclamineus daffodil) which is always early to flower.

It would be guess work to name yours from a pic. However, I believe it may be in division 3. i.e it is a small cup trumpet daffodil, with a cup upto one third the length of the perianth., early to mid spring flowering in Britain.

 actually I believe there are over twenty five thousand named varieties, making it even more difficult to give it a name. Your best bet would be to bring a bloom in to a daffodil show and see if someone recognizes it. If it's a more common variety someone may know the name.

Just this spring a friend got a name for one of my missmarked daffs. I was impressed since two people confirmed it was a daffodil I had never heard of before and was also relatively uncommon.

You could try browsing the Amer. daff soc's database of photos..... enter div.2, color, season, height and hope for the best!
