Peaches too! I made a blackberry, peach cobbler last night and it smelled so good with the fresh picked fruit. I don't have an exact recipe. I just mix together the peaces and blackberries and top them with a mix of oatmeal, a little flour, cinnamon, light brown sugar, melted butter and a little milk, just enough liquid to cause the oat mix to clump together some. Then bake it for a 1/2 hour or more, depending on the quantity.

The same fruit mix with some plain yogurt and cinnamon would be good too.

We planted a blackberry bush in our garden this year and I'm hoping it will do well. I love picking fresh blackberries but I don't know of any woods or areas where they grow around here. I usually buy them at the farmer's market or the grocery store.

Our blackberry patch planted itself. It's a weed here and can really take over if left unattended. It's the Himalayan blackberry and it's not hard to find patches along roads or in fields, etc. I'm keeping the ones I have in check so far, because I don't want them taking over like they were doing when we bought this land. We had about 1/2 an acre of them. No purchased plant compares in flavor. I tried a couple. I need to go cut them back before the tips reach the ground and take root.
