Oh happy day !!!

I have my sathiphyllum on my windowsill right next to our coffe maschine ans spotted a white bud this morning when cooking water :wink:

The plant hasen't bloomed since i baught it in Dezember 2003, which makes me absolutely happy and proud! my very first bloom :D

i'll upload some pictures later.

how long does it take for the bud to open up ?!? i'll see in a few days :) -- just had to share this

I've never seen or grown one of these, but congrats on the flowering of yours!! Always nice to see that what you are doing in terms of growing conditions is making the plant happy :D Dan

to bad though the Spath doesn't really have ROOM enough to spread it's leaves on the windowsill where it's standing right now. :?

I've seen the same with spathiphyllums myself, they're covered in blooms when they appear in the shops but are unlikely to repeat such a spectacle later on, or at least this seems to be the case with small varieties.

the bud has grown, it's gotten thick and is now higher than the largest leave :)
