I have planted "deer resistant" variety's of arborvitae, which include Thuja green giant & emerald green. To some point the deer don't bother it until, late fall and winter. should this be expected? Are they any other MORE resitannt evergreens. I like the look of arborvitaes, but I would consider other evergreens.

Arborvitae is one of their favorites around here. I have a couple of types of juniper they don't like because they are stickery (is that a word??) along the edges. Skyrocket and Moonglow are the 2 I have. I like the latter the best. They haven't even nibbled them and I don't think they ever will.

The plants labeled deer resistant are just that, not deer proof. What they eat varies a lot, even in the same city.

Good luck!
