Okay....I'm all for growing a herd to use vermicompost in my garden as it produces plants and produce of unparalleled quality. Why one year my tomatoes were so plentiful and good tasting, family and friends were asking me what variety and how I grew them....they were that good.

HOWEVER, I do not foresee a time in my lifetime (or beyond) that I would ever even consider eating worms. No sir eek Bob!
I have heard of them being dried, ground and mixed with cattle feed.

So just for the record, count me out when makin yer dinner plans usin' meal, red, nanc's worms or whatever other exotic fare you might conjure up !!!!

:D

i felt bad when i was talked into feeding some fish a couple of worms so i have trouble imagining eating them.

:P

as an interesting note - the one worm lasted for ? at least 12 hours in the tank. it burrowed into the gravel until i rescued it the next day.

it was probably due to the fish aerator/bubbler keeping some dissolved oxygen in the water that kept that poor worm alive.

*another somewhat easier to read article about worms and medical imaging is available.
