I have been worming for about 2 years and in all that time, the harvested VC was used for ornamental plants and flowers only. I don't have a vegetable garden.
About 6 weeks ago my neighbour gave me a tomato plant in a 1 gal. pot and I transplanted it into a 22" diam. pot and mixed in several handfuls of VC into the soil. The plant was growing and flowering and forming small fruits already and a couple of days ago I noticed wilted leaves and black areas close to the main stem. I cut all those off. And this morning I noticed more of those and branches (w. fruits, drats!) with black areas around it. I cut those off too and now there is only 1 single branch left to the entire tomato plant.
Is it possible the mold came from the VC? Is my tomato plant a goner now?
