Rescued from a local nursery in July, potbound and needing TLC, this Clair de Lune has surprised me. I've never owned one before and now she is one of my favorites.

amazing flowers. so refreshing to see them now as this clem blooms early up here in zone 5. did you cut it back when you started the TLC? is it blooming on new growth produced while you had the plant, or vines that were already on the plant? took me several years with the plant to get multiple flowers like that.

I bought quite a few clems at the same time and all were in bad shape. As I remember, I just started whacking the stems off of all of them and left very little growth, depending upon how bad they looked. So, most of this is new growth, but it was probably one of the better ones. I potted them up from one to three gallon pots. I realize it's a G2 and normally blooms in early spring, so I hope it performs well then. I have several, so I'm considering grouping more than one for a better display.
