This is almost the first vining viorna group species to flower in my garden.

Wow what a great sized plant there Carol. The one you got me must not like its location compared to how large yours looks. Still no where near blooms on mine, if it does bloom. Last year no blooms, the year before perhaps 3 or 4 at max.

Miguel, it might be the composted horse manure I picked up through Freecycle that made it grow. It was aged a year, with wood chips and I shoveled many 5 gallon buckets and spread it about the garden.

This versicolor seems similar to viorna in many ways. Think I'll ask my friend to key it out to be certain. Although I see the terminal leaflets looking as they should, I see an awful lot of lobed leaves.

Glaucophylla will be next to flower. It cliimbs through Aesculus pavia.

Man Carol. How are you so far ahead of me in the flowering of some of the US natives? My glaucophyllas are no where close to blooming.
