Hey! So I am as newb as you can get about keeping house plants lol I rescued this (tree I'm assuming?) from being left to die in a house one of my neighbors just moved out of. I was helping my friends move their stuff in (they bought it) and we found the plant. They have no idea how to care for house plants and don't care to try so gave it to me (I'm trying to learn how to). First step, trying to ID this beautiful plant! From there I can research all the info I need :P The stem resembles a palm tree, is it maybe some kind of palm? I took pics of a bunch of different parts of the plant, so I hope it helps. Thank guys!

I agree. It appears to be a dracaena massangeana. Known for is very fragrant flowers if grown outdoors. I had a big one which bloomed one summer. The scent of the flowers were overpowering. Here are a few photos of mine before I cut it at the base. Then a photo of it re-emerging again from under a concrete trough as a yellow leaf form. (ie. hard to kill) I hope you appreciate yours better than I did mine at the time.
