Oye Vey,
I thought some of us C&S nuts were crazy to pay what some do for succulents.
This nursery http://www.asiaticanursery.com/ IMHO could make a good living by giving most of the plants away and just charging their Postage and Handling!!!!!!!!
Some are not house plants but if Cena can post one of my favorite succulents(Sansevieria) I guess this is OK.
Anyone out there willing to admit they have delt with these people!!!!! How can one charge $120 for a 3.5" potted weed?????? :? :? :?
Happy Day,
SarcasticEd

What kind of plant are you talking about? I've seen Sans run into the thousands for a small plant.

Rhonda,
I just recieved as a gift for helping a friend move- my first Sansevieria sulcata along with some Monadeniums--- coccineum, heteropodum, magnificum and ritchiei ssp. ritchiei.
It was well worth the sweat and following stiffness as far as I'm concerned.
BTW--I have plenty of Sans-large and small for thousands of $ if you know anyone in the market-10% referal fee of course!!!!
Ed

Well I checked out the site. I went to my first plant love...the Philodendrons. They do have some unusual Philos. I started ohhhing and ahhhing and then I saw it. Philodendron 'Jungle Fever' 3.5 inch pot (1 ) $100.00. Say what!!! Philodendron selloum 'Gold Satin' 3.5 inch pot (1 ) $60.00. Now that is just crazy!!! And watch out, not all plants are in 3.5 inch pots, some are in 2.5 inch pots  I'm afraid to look at the shipping costs. The site says they are here in PA. I didn't catch where, but I'm suspecting they must be in the north east part of the state...the fumes from the big city must be clouding their judgment

I'm just way too cheap to pay their prices and have no intentions of ever ordering plants at their prices.

Foxy.

Yikes! At that price, you just get one and grow it out and have 10 or more people lined up to share the cost. Then give them starts of it.

When I was trying to ID mine, thius was the only website which sold a golden selloum. I paid about $5 for mine at Cal Poly SLO. Sold it for $20.

Ed, you need me to do what?

Yes, lovely to look at... wonder who their clients REALLY are, since most plant people KNOW better! Or can find a source without leasing a leg, arm, or organ...

Sorry, Ed. There is better out there, and you WILL find them.
But doesn't the site make you drool???
Oh, gee. Really? You think they are in 'that' business???

Plant Pimping? Who knew?

I'm embarrassed  to admit that these folks are in the same county I live in, but on the other side, at the river. Here's the address:

Asiatica Nursery
600 York Rd
York Haven, PA 17370
(717) 938-8677

Foxy, if you go, we expect a report.

At least I now know I could save on shipping costs  As tempting as some of those Philos are the prices are just too darn scary for me.
