Linda had some caterpillars stripping one of her plants and wanted me to aaaaaa....errrrrr..take care of them.

OK! I did as she wished. I happen to have known they were Queen Butterfly (Danaus gilippus) caterpillars so I gently plucked them off and put them in my Bug House. After finding them some milkweed to munch on I just left them alone and within 4 days they were all in chrysalis hanging from what was left of their last caterpillar dinner.
About 7-8 days later KerrrPowy!!!!! they emerged, dried out a bit and fluttered off to our butterfy garden area to start the cycle all over again.

Don't tell Linda her plant will be denuded again in short order.

Welcome to our yard Danaus gilippus---Help yourself!

Stutters,
Thanks Mate,
Bug House? Doesn't everyone have at least one bug house for emergencies! Just last week a Praying Mantis visited in our family room. I let her stay in the bug house overnight and set her on a Huernia in the morning. Now I need to make the bed for our next exoskeleton guest.
Have a good day,
AZED
