i have BIG BIG problems growing my C. japonicum from seed. only very few seedlings came out and they all didn't look to strong. i had them in a little widowsill greenhouse on my southern window.
has anybody grown this tree from seed jet?

They shouldn't be hard to germination, no special requirements, but I think freshness is important. I haven't grown them but understand that they start out small compared to most tree seedlings.

I should add, hardy trees in general do not do well growing inside. Stick them outside even if it seems harsh. It would certainly be good for any pots with ungerminated seed to go outside for the winter, something may come up in spring.
