Lovely picture of a very pretty tree. Down here they get butchered--what some call 'crape murder'. Do they do that there? They have such beautiful bark, and graceful branching habit, and it's so awful to see them whacked off to look like something you'd use to sweep the kitchen floor. If you do that, please disregard that comment! I try to remember that people have different tastes--sometimes I'm better at that than other times. Don't have any trouble seeing the beauty in formal gardens, for instance, tho' mine is striving for a slightly-controlled jungle effect. The jungle I've got down--the 'slightly-controlled' is harder! Boy, do things grow down here when we get rain, as we have lately!

The only pruning mine get is when I'm gathering cuttings for propagation.
