The migration is complete for most IPs, we did lose a few posts from today but other then that it looks like everything went smoothly. There should be no more interruptions in the forum but you may notice some changes or tweaks going forward as we try to make improvements.

Thank you for taking this on Lucas,
First off I'd like to say, I like the new color format, a lot more calming. Hope we can continue for years to come.

Because Ed was able to post photos I try again...
and again...The image file you tried to attach is invalid.

What is that? Are 'normal' members now excluded from posting pictures

Ok i did not realize you were trying to upload such large files, I changed a server side setting it should work now (crossing fingers). If possible try to use smaller file sizes in the future anyways because loading time for people on slower connection.

Once again it didn't work.

Lucas, you obviously didn't check at all what kind of quality forum you took over! We had no limitation in posting file sizes.
And if you cannot achieve the same quality in this changed format you might lose many or at least one member... and that is I
I don't want (and actually cannot) down-size the pictures I take with my camera for MY archive (and in 2nd place only for any forum)!

Jordi

I too am still experience trouble.

I was able to re-size using export (smallest) and I thought that I might be able to post a photo but I still can't .

I had no problem using the old format.

I hope you can get the bugs out.

This issue may continue into tomorrow morning but everyone will have all the image features back when it is fixed. The reason this is taking so long is because there is a scripting and server configuration difference between the old/new servers. This means tracking down the exact piece of code or permission causing the problem is taking a while. Sorry for the issue, but I fully expect it to be resolved before tomorrow evening.

The issue is fixed, I have tested uploads with regular user credentials - there should be no more trouble. Please let me know if there are more issues and thanks for the patience.

Ok, now Lucas made the first real changes in TGF:
One bad, but not too bad yet... the one ad per thread. One good, but not really necessary... the 'Quick Replay'. And one neutral... no smilies any more.

Jordi

PS: I have to correct the last point. When clicking 'Full Editor' the smilies are still there.

Glad you can post photos again Jordi :D
The smiley faces are still there if you reply normally and not through quick reply. I love seeing your plants.

Right now we don't get an e-mail notification when someone else has posted a reply to a thread we have posted or added a reply to before.
It would be nice if this could be reinstalled by Lucas.

I think the user is the one who can adjust that setting Jordi, try going to User control panel > board preferences > edit posting defaults > select yes for notify me of replies by default.
