Well folks, it's official, I am now the sole Administrator for The Garden Forums! Dan has finally passed the torch, and can now return to the "civilian life." :D We all owe Dan so much for getting TGF started in the first place and especially for being so generous to turn the forum over to a handful of members here. Let's repay his kindness by keeping TGF going strong! Participate as much as you can, and maybe even invite a friend or two into the fun! The bigger and better we can make TGF as a community, the closer we can get to repaying Dan. :)

There will be a number of changes to the site over the next few weeks as we do some work reorganizing. We also be announcing a group of Moderators who will be responsible for tending the forums making sure we keep this site the fun, friendly community it has come to be.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, on the whole process, check out the new forum in the "Start Here / Guidelines" section: Comments, questions, or suggestions

Or, if you prefer, you can Private Message me or email me directly at Josiah (at) TheGardenForums (dot) com!

Congratulations Josiah :!:
Little did you know when you started your own "Succophyte Forum" (which I enjoyed BTW) that one day you would inherit "The Garden Forums"...
I'm sure you will do a great job, and thanks for taking it on :D

Welcome, Josiah.

I have really enjoyed this forum. As a man who likes Cacti/succs... it is hopeful that you can keep our "strange tastes" together in The Garden Forums. Not an easy job... I would think. Mucho thanks,...for stepping up to the plate.

Dan,
You are one wonderful human being. With Josiah in the captains chair I'm confident that the wonderful work you have done over the years is a great foundation for the members to continue building upon your labors.
Sit back and enjoy,
Stick around Mr. member and a million thanks,
AZED

Thanks so much Dan for all you have done here, love it. I hope your nursery business continues to grow.

Welcome Josiah, I had forgotten you started the Succophyte forum, that was great, I hope this forum continues to be such a blessing.

Laura,
Do stick with us. If you would like an explaination feel free to ask. Someone will be glad to explain. At first the task seems overwhelming but you'd be suprised just how soon you will be speaking Gardenforumdia.
Welcome,
AZED

Thank you for stepping up to the plate, Josiah... and thank you Dan for starting such a great place. If it were not for The Garden Forums, I think I would have killed all my worms! But thanks to the members here, they are thriving. Going to have to send some to a new home before long.

And Foxy, You're a doll for helping out for so long without recognition. ;)

It's really nice how everything moved over more or less transparently. Since this isn't really a busy time of year for gardeners, some members may have hardly noticed.

I have been (FINALLY) able to get on and write message. I could sometimes get on but after I wrote my msg to submit, I was dropped off. I'm glad Josiah is at the helm. Thanks so much for taking over.

So, is Dan gone?? I haven't been able to keep up. I mean 'gone' as in 'forever'??

This site has been a blessing to me. Whether I posted a question, or just read through a thread, I've learned soooo much!!

Dan did a great job, all the contributers have done a great job!! I'm glad it's still going!!

The reports of my demise are greatly exaggerated!
I'm just working my way down the chain of command with the eventual goal of regular ole member. I've been divesting myself of responsibility for many web sites and lots of miscellaneous crud that has kept my attention off my business for too long. I absolutely loved building and administering TGF for the past few years. It hasn't been hard. You are such an easy-going community. It's just a matter of focus. I'll still come around to look for excruciatingly rare vines and maybe do a little spamvertising (just kidding, Josiah!) now and then.
