Meconopsis villosa got kicked out for bad behaviour, and is now skulking about as Cathcartia villosa. Nice yellow flowers in a dark corner. I think its slightly chlorotic in my alkaline soil, or maybe that Meconopsis napaulensis is sucking up all the nutrients.

Its flowering again. I have no idea if this is because of all the rain we've been having or whether it normally flowers repeatedly. The seedpods develop a little differently from Meconopsis. They have a similar "pepperpot" structure at the end but they become very long and thin and then split open to release the seeds. I'll try and get a photo BEFORE I shell out the seeds next time. D'oh!
