Hi all!
I hope this is the right place, but I am very interested in finding a place where I can get specimens of Acanthogilia gloriosa - a flowering desert shrub in the Phlox family.

Here is a pic from Root Gorelick's 2008 article on Fouqieria burragei (Acanthogilia is hypothesized to be the ancestor of ocotillos).

Does anyone know where I can get one? I've done a bunch of searches but haven't had any luck yet.

Thanks for any info!

Cheers,
Tristan

If anyone is interested, I did find a source for seeds of this enigmatic species: Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden.

They don't sell the wild-collected seed to non-researchers or members, but the Seed Conservation Manager indicated they have seeds from their own stock that they will sell to the public.

Here's the link with the info for ordering from them:

I'm going to try growing them in the spring.
Wish me luck on them!

Cheers,
Tristan

Still looking up this plant Tristan, sounds interesting to say the least. Good luck with starting some.
