 Post subject: Potentilla Gelida seeds

Location: Marin County (San Francisco Bay Area) zone 9
Greetings,
My Potentilla is flowering, and like last year I am going to gather the seeds and try to grow them. Last year I had no success, so I am hoping some one here can give me suggestions on how to germinate them. It is quite an unusual plant and it'd sure be nice to be able to make more.

I don't know about this species specifically but many require a period of cold, or may even germinate at temperatures only just above freezing.
