Here is a picture of this creeper planted last summer in a semi-shaded location (sun in morning). No ID was provided by the retailer and I need to know how to control it, it's taking over my rock garden!!! On the other hand, I would like to plant it on a ditch slope that is hard to maintain. Should I? If so, how?

Thanks to anyone who can help.....

I believe it's a creeping Jenny /Lysimachia nummularia/.

Hi:

It surely is and thanks for the answer - looked it up and it is even BANNED in Mass.!!! I can never understand why garden centers sell us these things without telling us of the possibilities of invasion!

I will, however, plant it on my ditch inclines, it should do well there and is not that hard to control. Also my son-in-law won't have to mow down the steep inclines, he will love me for that!!

Thanks again

Marlene
