Oenothera, something like that. the name comes from Greek for "Wine Lover", because supposedly you get a hankering for imbibing if you eat the leaves.

I looked all over the web under Arizona wildflowers with no success.
I end up with Oenothera speciosa var berlandieri. Is that correct?
