I got this bulb from Out of Africa 3 years ago labeled as Crinum ligulatum and it has finally flowered for me!! Like most species Crinum I have had flower from Madagascar it has small white flowers, but it looks absolutely nothing like the pics of C. ligulatum on the PBS web site so it is likely not IDed correctly!! I can not find any stigma so it must be buried amongst the stamens.....so much for pollinating this one with my other pollen I have stored. Any thoughts on an ID? Thanks :D Dan

Hi Dan:

The flower looks unusual for Crimum. Do you have locality data of this Crinum?

How about Crium sp. Itremo? Which has flower similar to yours.

Now, it is named as Crinum mccoyi.
