I collected a pup near Jerome, AZ in the 70s, grew it in Spain to a considerable size, took a pup of that one with me when moving to the States and now after about 10 years in the ground here it decides to do its thing and die soon thereafter.

Sure looks like it Juergen,
I've never seen an Agave bloom in person, but have seen lots of pics. I hope you will take a series of pics to document it's blooming.

Jordi,
Nice pictures. That 2nd one is surreal looking. Only 10 years from pup to bloom?

Jordi,
What a wonderful form of A. parryi!!!! I can see why you brought it with you. I hope it pupped for you. Most do.
Normally you have until at least mid May for a 3.5 to 6 meter inflorescence sprouting 20 to 30 lateral flowery branches. I will go out with a show for sure.
The terminals on your plant look rather special. I hope you can keep the clone in cultivation.
Have a good one,
AZED

CJ,

That's a great documentary you have going - I see that the President's C&S stimulus is reaching you.

Dan,
I have a few other species on their last hurrah. I will post after the blooms are out with a visual cronology.
Enjoy,
AZED

Great shots Jordi! Sorry you're going to lose that beauty, but enjoy the flowers!

Hey Greg! Ya got a moment to take a peek at us. Perhaps you can add to a question we had earlier. Concerning that mass bloom going on infront of the Whole Foods market shopping area at Oracle and Ina, in your opinion is it simply all plants being the from the same batch or is there something timing the closely aged plants similar to the Peniocereus greggii?
There was the same type of mass bloom in the rear by PeiWie's but I noticed a few blooming right now.
Have a good weekend,
Ed
