 Post subject: Arizona Fero's

I spent last week north of Phoenix with my Son and his family. Fero cyli---eus were blooming all over. Besides the typ yellow I found one w/ orange flowers and one with red flowers. Is this fairly common ? To me it was "Almost" as good as finding that Lost Gold Mine!!!

David, I like how you put almost in parenthesis. I know you were out looking for that gold mine and found those big Fero's. Either way it is a nice find.

Dear David,
Hope you had a wonderful time with family north of Phoenix, AZ. The Feros you saw there are certainly all Ferocactus wislizenii. And you even encountered them in all their flower color variability!
